"People are spent," said Vince Vasquez, a senior policy analyst at National University Institute for Policy Research.
Too many elections, too many candidates the voters know nothing about, and they had no chance to buy name recognition on television. Valuable TV time was eaten up by the wildfires, followed by Memorial Day weekend. According to Vasquez, turnout will be between 18 to 22%.
"A lot of people, unfortunately in this election, are going to be throwing away their absentee ballots."
