Erik Bruvold, a TransNet proponent who heads the National University System Institute for Policy Research, said it’s not enough to shore up the region’s infrastructure budgets.
“Our current way of funding transportation infrastructure is fundamentally broken,” Bruvold said. “What we need to do is figure out a sustainable funding source because these things will need funding to last a couple years if not over a decade.”
