Kelly Cunningham, National University System - NO: Government run health care requires massive payroll tax hikes and premium assessments on taxpayers. Health care is subject to market forces like any other. High-cost socialized medicine attempts to obscure market demand from the benefits of healthy competition requiring consumers to have clear information about cost and supply, replaced by illusory promises imposed by government edict. Funding siphoned from seas of taxation attempts to obscure market impacts from consumers, but compulsory costs escalate and limited supply-rationing follows.
